Graduate Studies
Pursuing your dream career starts with the next phase of your education. When you enroll in graduate school at Áù¾ÅÉ«ÌÃ, you’re beginning more than advanced training in your field; you’re accelerating your professional journey.
The combined B.S. in Exercise Science / Pre-Athletic Training & M.S. in Athletic Training degree programs combine requirements from the undergraduate exercise science major and graduate athletic training major for the completion of two degrees in five years.
Years one and two comprise the Candidacy Phase, and then students apply to the graduate Athletic Training program, also known as the Professional Phase. During the Professional Phase (typically years 3-5), students will complete the combined degree program concurrently, that is, by completing the degree requirements for the bachelor’s and master’s degrees at the same time. By the end of the fourth year of study, students will have earned a B.S. in Exercise Science / Pre-Athletic Training and an M.S in Athletic Training after year five.
Students interested in transferring into the athletic training program (from another major or an outside institution) must do so as an undergraduate student PRIOR to the professional phase. Depending on transfer credits, the minimum number of years to complete the BS and MS degrees is three years.
Please refer to the most current Graduate Academic Catalog for the most up to date athletic training program requirements. The Graduate Academic Catalog can be found under the Students section of the MyAdrian webpage.Â
