An artist market showcasing unique, locally handcrafted goods that Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà has titled Bruiser’s Holiday Market will take place in the Hickman Gallery on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
Travis Erxleben, Chair of Áù¾ÅÉ«ÌÃ’s Department of Art and Design, said the market will feature a wide array of handmade works from local, talented artists.
“We are thrilled to host this exciting event and support our local artist community,” Erxleben said. “Bruiser’s Holiday Market is the perfect opportunity for community members to find unique, high-quality gifts while celebrating the creativity and craftsmanship of our region.”
The market will offer visitors the opportunity to meet the artists, learn about their processes, and purchase handcrafted items in time for holiday gifting.
Some of the notable artists selling pieces include Ashley Bayko, Brianna Deterling, Renee Payne, Kathryn Schmidt, Dennis Swartzlander, and Kay Swartzlander.
Hickman Gallery is located in Áù¾ÅÉ«ÌÃ’s Mahan Center for Art and Interior Design, with its main entrance accessible off of Williams Street.
