The Master of Arts in Higher Education Administration and Leadership (HAL) program is designed to develop ethical decision-making skills and application of theory and best practice to timely topics and issues in the field, resulting in solutions-driven leadership that supports diversity, inclusion, and equity efforts in higher education.

Graduation Requirements

The Master of Arts in Higher Education Administration and Leadership is awarded to students who have completed the 30 required credit hours with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.

Each Post-Baccalaureate Certificate is awarded to students who have completed the 15 required credit hours with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.

Admissions

Requirements

Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà Undergraduates
Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà undergraduate students are eligible for provisional admission through the 3+2 program if they have earned a minimum of 90 credit hours and have a cumulative 3.0 grade point average.

Prospective Graduate Students with Bachelor’s Degrees
Students who have earned a bachelor’s degree from an accredited higher education institution are eligible for admission if they have a cumulative undergraduate grade point average of 3.0 or above. They may apply prior to the semester in which they wish to matriculate.

Process

For the Master of Arts in Higher Education Administration and Leadership, Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Higher Education Leadership, or the Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Higher Education Institutional Effectiveness programs.

Application Requirements

  • Completed application
  • Official final transcripts (Unofficial copy accepted for Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà applicants)
  • Statement of Purpose describing current program or degree and future career goals (2-3 pages)
  • Three letters of recommendation
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited higher education institution
