Our Story & History
Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà was chartered more than 160 years ago, on March 28, 1859. We sprang from a Wesleyan Methodist theological institute, and we remain affiliated with the Methodist Church to this day.
Institutional Research
The Office of Institutional Research and Assessment handles both institutional research and assessment for Áù¾ÅÉ«ÌÃ. We support assessment of student learning, accreditation, program review and institutional effectiveness.
Ribbons of Excellence
In 2007, the academic community at Áù¾ÅÉ«Ìà adopted the idea of the ribbons to represent its standards of excellence. From the long-standing tradition of the ribbons attached to the shepherd’s crook at graduation, these new ribbons of excellence have been developed to support the College’s mission statement.
Campus & Facilities
We have numerous facilities available for a wide variety of needs, from wedding venues to baseball camps. Our Office of Conferences hosts programs from daily meetings to major social events.

Áù¾ÅÉ«ÌÃ’s leadership looks to not only educate but inspire students to be the very best in their field, and be decent human beings committed to the pursuit of truth and dignity of all people.
